In 1995, as the first specialized Egyptian entity, 'Cargas' laid the foundation stone for the compressed natural gas (CNG) industry for vehicles in Egypt. Our beginning was not just the establishment of a commercial company, but the launch of an ambitious national project aiming to maximize the added value of Egypt's natural wealth.

The company started with fully paid-up capital and a strong strategic shareholder structure. Today, after 3 decades, we are proud to be the company that set the standards and transformed natural gas from just an alternative idea into a primary fuel relied upon by millions of Egyptians.
