EGAS organizes the annual meeting for Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection officials in subsidiary companies

Within the framework of the strategy of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to achieve the highest rates of safety and risk management, the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) organized the annual meeting for Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection officials in subsidiary companies, under the patronage of Eng. Mahmoud Abdel Hamid, Executive Managing Director of the company.

The meeting discussed the most prominent lessons learned, emphasizing that the safety of the human element is the true wealth of the petroleum sector, and the necessity of developing and effectively applying procedures to prevent the recurrence of any accidents or losses.

Dr. Ashraf Ramadan, Deputy Executive Managing Director for Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection at EGAS, emphasized that the meeting aims to unify visions, exchange experiences, and review and develop the work system, which contributes to raising performance efficiency and enhancing the safety culture, with a focus on protecting the human element and achieving a safe and sustainable work environment.

The meeting also included a presentation by Dr. Omayma Riad Megahed, General Manager of Occupational Health and Safety at MIDOR, on efforts to enhance occupational prevention, build qualified cadres, and support the application of approved standards in petroleum work sites.
